#1 Is there a device between this Scientific Atlanta DPC2100R2 and your computer?
#2 If so to question number one above, what is that device?
#3 It sounds like, you were able to host in the past. Are you using the same ISP as last time?
#4 What is the current software firewall on your computer?
#5 Find the IP address and default gateway on your computer.
With Windows, that means..
Go to Start -> Run.
Type in
cmd and press enter.
In the new window, called the command prompt, type in
ipconfig /all and press enter.
#6 Compare the IP address that you found (not the default gateway) to the external IP as shown at
http://www.portforward.com/default.htm--
Does they match or are they different?
